Sorry it's been so long since I've updated everyone on the O'Gradney household. I recently had Brooke's baby shower, of which I've posted some pics. I now have sooooooooooo many cute pink and purple outfits, I think Brooke will have a new outfit to wear every day! As for the pregnancy, I'm now 32 weeks and I'm guessing I have anywhere from 5-7 weeks left. If she comes when Blake did, she'll be here in 5 weeks!!! I can't believe how fast time has gone by and that I'm about to have another little one. I'm so excited and can't wait to meet her and for her to meet Blake. We've gotten Blake a baby doll to help prepare him for the arrival of his sister and he absolutely adores it! I hope this is a good sign and he is as good and protective of Brooke as he is with his baby.
As for work, I finished teaching last week and won't have the opportunity to teach the same class until next January. I really enjoyed teaching the nursing students, and the schedule really works out well with our family. I hope that they will continue to need me next year. The laser hair removal/ skin rejuvination is what it is. Honestly it is pretty mindless and boring and I don't get much out of it besides a descent schedule and a good paycheck. So, I'm not sure if I will stay in that field after Brooke is born. I plan to take off 3-6 months for maternity leave, so I have time to rethink my career path....AGAIN!
Besides the imminent arrival of Brooke we are getting ready for Blake's 2nd birthday party. We're having a petting zoo come to the house, which I think Blake will absolutely love. He is quite fond of pigs and always wants "more oink oink". He watches Charlotte's Web every night before bed, so I'm curious to see how he reacts when a live pig is in his backyard!
Well, I hope everyone is doing well. I will keep you updated as often as I can!Comments:Grandpa Hank: Thanks for the update. We will see you at Blake's birthday party. Have a great Mother's Day!Add a comment:

Blake had so much fun yesterday with his playgroup friends. We dyed easter eggs and also had an easter egg hunt, both of which Blake couldn't get enough of! So this afternoon we are dying eggs again as a family and tomorrow while everyone is here for Easter dinner, we're going to have another egg hunt. We hope everyone has a great Easter!

So blake loved his first trip to Disney World! Although I think he loved the hotel just as much! He loved riding on the luggage cart and jumping on the hotel bed. I remember loving to go to hotels as a kid, I just don't remember it starting that early. We went to Magic Kingdom on Thurs and Animal Kingdom on Friday. He loved seeing the characters from afar, especially pooh, but when it was his turn to get his picture taken, he wasn't too fond of him anymore. The same went for the rides. He and ben were going to ride an elephant that went around in circles in the sky. However, once they got strapped in, Blake started getting upset. So Ben handed him to me and Ben had to ride it all by himself. I couldn't help but laugh, all the way to tears, as a watched Ben on this cartoon elephant flying in circles, up and down, as he was the only adult by himself. =) Blake had such a good time that he passed on his naps both days and was still in a great mood when we went out to dinner after we left the park. He didn't want to sleep in his pack n play either. He kept wanting to leave the hotel room with his blanket to go find his crib I guess. So he ended up sleeping with us and slept until we got up in the morning. We got Blake his Mickey ears, which you can see in the pics, he loves to wear. We had a great time and can't wait to go back with two next time!

Sorry it's been so long since I've updated everyone. We've been so busy lately and the time is escaping me! I can't believe I'm 24 weeks pregnant already! I have two new jobs now....I teach nursing students at the University of Tampa and just this past week I started doing laser hair removal and skin rejuvination. Two opposite ends of the spectrum, huh?! I like both so far and figure I can decide while I'm on maternity leave which job I want to come back to. I'm working 34 hrs/week so it's really not bad. I work two days at American Laser Centers and two days at the university and it keeps me entertained.
Blake is growing up so fast these days. He learns new words every day and makes us laugh all the time with what he says and the looks he gives us. He has a great sense of humor and knows how to "look cute" to get what he wants. He has also started to put two words together and sounds like such a big boy when he talks. Part of me is so proud and the other part is a little sad to see the baby side of him disappear. If you ask him what sister's name is he says "Brooke" (or more like book), and if you say "what comes after one, he says "two". He loves to kiss the baby in the belly, although I'm pretty sure he thinks my belly button is the baby!
Tomorrow we are taking Blake to Disney World for the first time. We are staying in a hotel for two nights and plan on going to Magic Kingdom and one of the other parks. Blake loves animals and rides so I'm sure he'll have a great time. I'll post pics once we get back.
Well I hope everyone is doing well. We love you and will talk to you soon!Comments:Add a comment:

I finally added our Christmas pics, well atleast some of them! The first few are of a Christmas pajama party that we went to with Blake's playgroup (a group of 7 girls from work that all have babies within a year of each other). We try to get together once a week to let them play and have time to socialize for ourselves. Blake had lots of fun and they all exchanged presents. This year was the first that we actually spent Christmas morning at our own house. Blake loved all of his toys and he got so many! We got him a train set, which as you can see in the pics he also climbs in to! There are some cute pics of Blake swinging at a nearby park, and by the expression on his face, I think he thought he was flying! Oh, the pics of him in my high heel shoes are his own doing. I heard a strange noise in the kitchen and went to check on Blake. He had put my shoes on all by self and was walking around the kitchen laughing. Ben and I couldn't stop laughing! We also took him to the circus and surprisingly enough, he sat for 2 1/2 hours and loved it! Bryce, one of his best friends is the little man he is holding hands with. How cute!!!!!!!!!! We hope everyone is doing well and has a great year. So far this one is starting out awesome!

Blake had his surgery yesterday and all went well. Thank goodness it is over! He did really well right from the start. I thought he would be ravenous without eating/drinking since 7 pm the night before, but you wouldn't have even noticed a difference. We got to the hospital at 8:15, he had his surgery at 11:15 and we left at 1 pm. They said he was a wild man when he woke up from anesthesia for a few minutes. But then he passed out and I woke him up about 30 min later. When we got home he kept wanting to play and walk around, but since he was still numb from anesthesia he was wobbly and kept falling if I wasn't holding him. He thought it was funny and kept laughing! I tried to start him on liquids, then jello etc, but that didn't work. He ate a whole bowl of applesauce, an english muffin, and 1 1/2 packs of mini blueberry muffins!!! It all stayed down too! Then we all took a long nap and were back to our normal routine. I'm giving him tylenol with codeine for any discomfort, which he doesn't seem to be in. Hopefully it will stay that way. Well Blake is sleeping right now....when he gets up we're going Christmas shopping and then hopefully take some pictures by the tree tonight for our Christmas cards. Hope all is well!

So I guess I spoke too soon about the morning sickness....=( About a week a go I started feeling queasy and then a few days ago while at work I lost my breakfast. Yuck! Shortly after I started taking a pill for nausea and have been great since. Thank goodness for medicine!!! Yesterday while at work a friend and I peeked using the ultrasound and saw the heartbeat of the baby. How exciting! I guess something really is in there. =) Well I'm off to work for my last day before vacation....I can't wait...10 days off...no more getting up at 5:30 for a little while!!!
Comments:Aunt Jenni: Better living through pharmacology!Grandpa Hank: Great web site! Have a nice trip to Maryland. We are leaving Monday for a 11-day trip to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Mexico. Should be a fun trip!Add a comment:

Blake is so much fun these days....Today he climbed onto the couch, put his head back, propped up his feet on a pillow and watched TV for a few minutes while eating a cookie. Ben and I couldn't help but laugh!
On another note, we took Blake to have his circumcision evaluated by a pediatric urologist because we didn't think it was done quite right. He confirmed our suspicions and unfortunately will need surgery to correct it, which is now scheduled for Thursday, Dec 6th.
=(
As for the new little pumpkin on the way, Brooke or Brody, which are the names we have chosen, will be 6 weeks on Wednesday. So far, no morning sickness, just a little tired. I don't remember being tired this early with Blake, but then again I was able to nap a lot more.
We are looking forward to traveling to MD for Thanksgiving. I'm a little nervous about going on a plane for the first time with Blake, alone, since Ben can't come until Wednesday. Hopefully, he'll be a good boy. =)Comments:Add a comment:
